The sizes of AHU's cooling coils varies from building to building. Our OC3 and OC5 is able to fit into a majority of sizes.
Construction: Our Germitrol Off-Coil UVC Sterilizers are constructed with parts and design to take into account the harsh conditions of the interior AHU environment. Water condensate is blown downstream from the cooling coils and may likely splash onto the equipment. Hence, the design and material used has to take this harsh condition for safety purposes.
Materials/Parts: The casing of Germitrol Off-Coil UVC Sterilizers is made of stainless steel to prevent corrosion and strong enough to withstand the vibration and windforce. The lampholders are of IP54 splash prevention standards. The cable gland are also designed to IP54 splash prevention standard. Gaskets are lined along the matching faces of the stainless steel covers to prevent water infiltration.
Safety - Mercury: Unlike some more dangerous UVC irradiators, our Germitrol Off-Coil UVC Sterilizers contains minimal mercury of not more than 5.5mg, which is about the amount found in any standard fluorescent lamps used in offices. Some UV systems are known to have contained very high amounts of mercury, even as high as 40 -50mg of mercury, creating a potential health hazard. Experts are known to make reports that the greatest danger of mercury poisoning is BY INHALATION. People are known to have fatal reaction to mercury when they come into contact and some possibly resulted in death in extreme cases.
Sensors for BAS (Optional): Each Off-Coil Sterilizers can be monitored individually by means of sensors which can provide LED warning light to show that the UVC lamp is working. A sensing signal can also be send to the BAS (Building Automation System) to alert the maintenance team the off/on working condition of these UVC lamps.
